Faithful Community Events

Announcements for the upcoming week:

• Our church Revival is fast approaching! We will be having our annual church revival starting Monday, August 11^th thru Friday, August 15^th nightly at 7pm. This year we have three Godly men speaking, with Bishop Stevenson of Red Sea Baptist Church, and our very own Reverend Cahee and Reverend Harper. The Theme is “Refining Fire” and the scripture is Malachi 3:2-3. There will be nightly refreshments with dinner served on Friday.

• Save the date: August 24^th at 4pm is the WOM Day program. We will have our own Sis Katrina Cook as our speaker. Women, the color for the program is white. Look forward to seeing you all for the time of refreshing in the Holy Spirit. 

• Our Annual Youth Revival will be Aug 29^th . We will have a youth program on that Friday at 6:30pm with two amazing speakers: our very own Brother Mikel Washington and Brother Justin Marsh of New Life Fellowship Church. After the program there will be a FOAM PARTY!!! Please wear your blue youth Westside Baptist Church shirt. If you don't have a youth shirt, please wear appropriate clothes (no white shorts or shirts). 



• Ladies, save the date Saturday, August 23^rd for a day of fellowship, food, and shopping. We look forward to having a wonderful time together. Please be sure to sign up in the foyer. We need a head count for the bus. We will leave the church at 10am. 

• The Senior Saints Banquet is just around the corner on Saturday, August 30^th. A sign-up sheet is on the foyer for 69 years and older. If you have any questions, please see Deacon Barrett.

• We have some We Love Our Church Red T-shirts available for $10.00. If you are interested, please see Sis Kerra. 

• The City of Restoration Church cordially invites you to their 7^th Church Anniversary at 3:30pm on Sunday, August 3^rd at the Courtyard by Marriott in the Phantom Warrior Banquet Hall. The theme this year is “Getting the House of GOD Back in Order” – Matthew 21:13. You must RSVP no later than Sunday, July 13^th by emailing tcrchurchkilleen@gmail.com. 

• Save the date! Our very own Sister Kelci Ellis is hosting “Evolutionary Love” a spiritual black woman empowerment 2-day workshop. This event will take place at the Killeen Civic Center on October 31^st and November 1^st. Tickets go on sell March 1^{st ,} there is limited seating.  For more information, please see the front office.

• If you are an auxiliary leader, and have not taken the stewardship training course, please sign-up for the course on the sign-up sheet located in the foyer.

• The Evangelism Team needs your help! They are requesting one member from each Auxiliary to join their team! They are also looking for men join. If you are interested, please see Reverend Dr. Rosebur.

• The van ministry is looking for drivers to help with Sunday School, and Wednesday Bible Study pickup. Drivers must be responsible drivers with a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Please see Deacon Barrett if you are interested.

• We’ve created a Westside Job/Skillset Directory to help our members who may need said services. Anyone who is interested in signing up for our Westside Job/Skillset directory or in need of more information or guidance, please text Brother Booker (512) 960-7423. The directory is located in the foyer

• All announcements and cards are due by noon each Wednesday. Your announcement and cards MUST be turned into the office for approval.

Things to remember:

• Our Westside food pantry is now open every 3^rd Wednesday from 11am to 2pm.
• Anyone interested in helping at the Killeen Food Bank, pls meet here every 2^nd Saturday at 8am.
• Youth Announcements can be emailed to: westsideyouth1@yahoo.com
• Ministers’ Wives will meet on the 3^rd Saturday at 10am. Please contact Sis Jones for the location at 254-449-0505.
• The Children’s Church and the Westside Angels Children Church is held every 2^nd, 4^th, and 5^th Sundays.
• New members class is located in portable 3E every Sunday at 9:45am.
