Announcements for the upcoming week

Easter Sunday is April 20^th, with Sunrise service at 6 am and Sunday worship services at 8 am and 11 am.

The Widows and Widowers brunch will be on Saturday, April 12^th, at 10 am at Golden Corral in Killeen. Please notify Deacon Barrett if you plan to attend this event.

Our next business meeting is Tuesday, April 15^th, at 6 pm.

We are asking for all our youth to come out on Friday, April 18^th, at 3pm to help fill the eggs that the younger children will be hunting on Saturday. After finishing filling the eggs, we will have a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and a youth versus youth leaders volleyball tournament. Food will be served. This event will conclude at 7 pm.

Our Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th, at 10:00 a.m. If you would like to donate candy, please drop it off at the office.

The Westside Men’s 30^th Anniversary Celebration will be here at Westside on Saturday, April 26^th, at 4 pm and Sunday, April 27th, at 4 pm. They will have local male choirs and renowned gospel recording artists such as The Divine Messengers, The Gospel Starz of Austin, and the New Soul Invaders of Industry Texas. On Saturday, there will be food trucks available on site. If you have any questions, please see Brother Blakes.

It is that time again for the VBS volunteer sign-up. We are looking for teachers, helpers and more. See the sign-up sheet in the foyer. Our theme this year is Magnified! The theme scripture is O magnify the LORD with me and let us exalt His name together. Palms 34:3.

The men’s retreat is May 8^th – the 10^th at Highland Lakes in Spicewood TX. The cost for the retreat is $110 per individual. The due date to pay is on or before April 5^th make checks payable to Westside Baptist Church and write on check that it’s for the Men’s Retreat. The sign-up sheet is in the foyer. Save the date! Our very own Sister Kelci Ellis is hosting “Evolutionary Love” a spiritual black woman empowerment 2-day workshop. This event will take place at the Killeen Civic Center on October 31^st and November 1^st. Tickets go on sell March 1^{st ,} there is limited seating.  For more information, please see the front office.

If you are an auxiliary leader, and have not taken the stewardship training course, please sign-up for the course on the sign-up sheet located in the foyer.

The Evangelism Team needs your help! They are requesting one member from each Auxiliary to join their team! They are also looking for men join. If you are interested, please see Reverend Dr. Rosebur.

The van ministry is looking for drivers to help with Sunday School, and Wednesday Bible Study pickup. Drivers must be responsible drivers with a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Please see Deacon Barrett if you are interested.

We’ve created a Westside Job/Skillset Directory to help our members who may need said services. Anyone who is interested in signing up for our Westside Job/Skillset directory or in need of more information or guidance, please text Brother Booker (512) 960-7423. The directory is located in the foyer

All announcements and cards are due by noon each Wednesday. Your announcement and cards MUST be turned into the office for approval.

Things to remember:

• The Discipleship study class will be held each Tuesday for the new members and anyone wishing to attend, at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. POC is Rev Jones at 254-449-0507 and Sis Jones at 254-449-0505.
• Our Westside food pantry is now open every 3^rd Wednesday from 11am to 2pm.
• Anyone interested in helping at the Killeen Food Bank, pls meet here every 2^nd Saturday at 8am.
• Youth Announcements can be emailed to: westsideyouth1@yahoo.com
• Ministers’ Wives will meet on the 3^rd Saturday at 10am. Please contact Sis Jones for the location at 254-449-0505.
• The Children’s Church and the Westside Angels Children Church is held every 2^nd, 4^th, and 5^th Sundays.
• The Nursing Home Ministry meets at Killeen Rehab every 2^nd and 4^th Saturday.
• New members class is located in portable 3E every Sunday at 9:45am.
