Announcements for the upcoming week

• Our next Council meeting is May 4^th at 10am in the fellowship hall. Immediately following, will be the Mandatory Ministers meeting.
• Westside is looking for musicians for the 8am, 11am, and 6pm services. Musicians must be God fearing and enthusiastic for the Lord! If you would like more information, please contact Sis Ellis, Westsides Director of Music.
• If anyone would like to deliver the Lay Day sermon in July, please contact Deacon Talley at 912-463-3599.
• The C Team will host a Team members brunch on May 5^th at 1:30pm in the fellowship hall.
• Graduating Seniors of the class of 2024: If you would like to apply for the Kenneth Turner or May Hall Scholarship, please see Sis Verna Tolbert.
• Youth Summer Camp 2024 will be July 12^th – 16^th. Youth completing 6^th grade are eligible to experience this year’s summer camp. Any parents interested in their child attending, chaperoning, or anyone wanting to be a sponsor, please see Reverend Thompson. It is $365.00 to sponsor a youth.
• We are in the process of re-starting the Singles Ministry. Please complete the survey located in the foyer and place it in the bin. At the end of the month, we will make some moves. If you have any questions, please contact Sis Shanklin 432-254-0011.
• Monday, May 6^th will be the last day to turn in the names of the Westside youth that are being promoted to the next grade. All names must be turned into the front office.
• We are collecting new or gently used backpacks for our Haiti family. Please bring backpacks to the front office. Thank you in advance.
• The van ministry is looking for drivers to help with Sunday School, and Wednesday Bible Study pickup. Drivers must be responsible drivers with a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Please see Deacon Barrett if you are interested.
• We’ve created a Westside Job/Skillset Directory to help our members who may need said services. Anyone who is interested in signing up for our Westside Job/Skillset directory or in need of more information or guidance, please text Brother Booker (512) 960-7423. The directory is located in the foyer.
• Westside! If you would like to donate dry goods to the food pantry, we will set up a bin in the foyer starting May 1^st. The items donated will be used for local families in need. The food pantry is open every 3^rd Wednesday from 11am to 2pm in the Georgia P. Building. Thank you in advance!
• Mark your calendar – Breaker Rock Beach VBS 2024 is coming June 17^th – 21^st 2024. We are looking for VBS volunteers. See the sign-up sheet in the foyer or contact Cynthia Tolbert at 254-466-4630.
• Please remember that you can still donate to Change for Charity in the boxes in the foyer.
• All announcements and cards are due by noon each Wednesday. Your announcement and cards MUST be turned into the office for approval.

Things to remember:

• The Discipleship study class will be held each Tuesday for the new members and anyone wishing to attend, at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. POC is Rev Jones at 254-449-0507 and Sis Jones at 254-449-0505.
• Our Westside food pantry is now open every 3^rd Wednesday from 11am to 2pm.
• Anyone interested in helping at the Killeen Food Bank, pls meet here every 2^nd Saturday at 8am.
• Youth Announcements can be emailed to: westsideyouth1@yahoo.com
• Ministers’ Wives will meet on the 3^rd Saturday at 10am. Please contact Sis Jones for the location at 254-449-0505.
• The Children’s Church and the Westside Angels Children Church is held every 2^nd, 4^th, and 5^th Sundays.
• The Nursing Home Ministry meets at Killeen Rehab every 2^nd and 4^th Saturday.
• Sunday School Teachers meeting every 1^st Tuesday at 6pm.
• New members class is located in portable 3E every Sunday at 9:45am.
• Do not bring food or drinks into the sanctuary.
• Silence your cell phones during service.
